Membership tiers

Name a tier, set a monthly price and an optional annual price, then activate it. Customers subscribe to that tier in Shopify.

02

Member discount

Set a percentage on the plan. Signed-in members get it at checkout. There is no code to share. Zero means access only, no money off.

03

Changelog

What changed

Clubify is still in the studio, so these notes describe the build in progress rather than an App Store release.

  1. Benefits on the plan, including the discount

    • Every benefit on a plan has its own field, including the member discount percentage checkout uses.
    • The percentage saved on the plan is the one members get. Leave it at 0 for access with no money off.
  2. What the member limit counts

    • The public page says Clubify is not on the Shopify App Store.
    • The allowance counts every membership. It only stops you when you grant a membership by hand. A customer who subscribes on the storefront is not turned away.
  3. The membership page and product rules

    • The membership page in the customer account shows an active membership, instead of always saying there is none.
    • Setup shows each plan's discount percentage before you turn the member discount on.
    • If a product rule needs the Clubify Product Gate block, the plan says so.
    • When you pick products for a rule, you pick products, not variants.
  4. Cancel from the account

    • A member can cancel their own membership from the customer account page. It stays in place until the end of the current billing period.
    • The Clubify plan you choose, Free, Pro, or Advanced, applies before you leave that screen.
  5. A plan that raises the member limit

    • When a hand grant would pass the allowance, the upgrade opens the plan that raises it.
  6. Finding plans, and the membership card

    • The notice that you are at the member limit links to Clubify's plans.
    • Text on the membership card stays readable on the accent color, and the card footer has more room.
  7. Dates in the shop's time

    • Dates in Clubify use the shop's timezone.
  8. Who a product rule matches

    • A product rule can match a tag, a vendor, a product type, or a collection. That needs the Clubify Product Gate block on the product template.
    • Granting a membership by hand stops when the shop is at its member allowance.
    • Clubify's own plans are Free, Pro at $14.99 a month, and Advanced at $39.99 a month. They are configured in the app. They are not an App Store listing.
  9. Members, benefits, and which products a tier opens

    • A member's page is about that customer: their history, and the orders they placed as a member.
    • Each plan lists its benefits. Saving a benefit updates members already on that plan.
    • Pick the products and collections a tier can open.
    • Open a plan's orders from the plan list.
    • The customer tag and the order tag you set are applied when someone joins.
    • The home page shows MRR from active members, in the shop's currency.
    • A renewal date moves forward by a month or a year, matching how that member pays.
    • The name in the admin is Clubify.
    • Setup warns you when a step you already finished no longer holds.
  10. How the membership looks

    • Preview the membership card and change its colors, layout, and wording.
    • A plan can have a monthly price and an annual price.
  11. The plan on the product

    • On a product in the Shopify admin, see the membership plan it belongs to, or start a plan from that product.
  12. What a tier can lock

    • A plan can restrict products, collections, the add-to-cart button, blogs, or pages to active members.
  13. A tier and its discount

    • Create a tier, link it to a product, and set the discount members receive.
  14. Membership plans

    • Create, edit, and remove membership plans.
  15. Setup

    • Setup walks through plans, the member discount, the storefront, the plans block, the card, and member emails.
  16. Checkout

    • Add a checkout block that shows a member their perks, or invites someone who is not a member to join.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Clubify on the Shopify App Store? +

No. Clubify is in the studio and is not listed. It is not Prizify, the points app on the App Store. Email [email protected] if you want it on a store.

Are Free, $14.99, and $39.99 listing prices? +

No. Free, Pro at $14.99 a month, and Advanced at $39.99 a month are configured in the app. They are not an App Store listing. Every plan includes the same features. What changes is how many members are counted: 50, 1,000, or unlimited.

How does a member get a discount? +

Set the percentage on the plan, then turn on the member discount in setup. It applies at checkout only when the member is signed in and the membership is active or in trial. There is no code. Leave the percentage at 0 if the tier should open products but take nothing off.

What do the other benefits do? +

Priority shipping, VIP support, early product access, and free returns per year are shown on the member page and at checkout, and they are stored on the membership. They do not change a shipping rate, a helpdesk, or which products are hidden. Hiding products is a separate choice on the plan.

Which products can a tier open? +

On the plan, under Exclusive Member Content, add a rule and browse the products or collections. You can also match a product tag, vendor, product type, or collection, which needs the Clubify Product Gate block on the product template. Activate the plan and turn the storefront on in setup, or the rule does not run.

What does the member page show? +

In the admin, open a member for their tier, status, renewal, history, and recent orders. In the customer account, Clubify Membership Portal shows the tier, status, renewal, and benefits. The member can cancel there. It stays in place until the end of the current billing period.

Can I give someone a membership without charging them? +

Yes. On Members, choose Grant membership, pick a tier, and set how many months it lasts. That hand grant is the only place the member allowance is enforced. A customer who subscribes on the storefront is not turned away, but they still count toward 50, 1,000, or unlimited.

I typed a page address and the product is still public. +

Choose the products and collections on the tier. A typed page address is not the gate.

Where do I see a member's orders? +

On the member page, with the orders tied to that plan.

A signed-out shopper can still open the product. +

The product has to be chosen on the tier. A page address typed by hand is not the gate.

The member page is empty. +

The test customer has to buy the membership product for that tier. Another product does not attach them to the plan.

The card preview does not match the member page. +

Save the tier, then open the member page as a customer who bought that membership product.

Benefits are missing on the plan. +

Add them on the plan. The card look and the benefit list are separate.
