Subscriptions fail in the second month, not the first
The first subscription order is a normal checkout. The second one is where the program either becomes revenue or becomes a support ticket. A renewal fails, a product is out of stock, or the customer cannot find the button to skip a delivery they do not want this week.
SubFlow runs on Shopify selling plans, so the contract and the charge stay inside Shopify. Your work is the policy around them. Set the retry days before you need them. If a product is out of stock, record a substitute. That record does not change the subscription on its own. Write the offer that appears when someone hits cancel. Those settings are the difference between a paused subscriber and a lost one.
Customers manage this themselves in the customer account: pause, resume, skip, change frequency, add a one-off, edit a box. Do not make them email you for a skip. That email is how subscription programs drown.
The app is free. There is no locked tier to discover later. Turn on rent-to-own only if you actually sell that way. It is a deposit and a term, not a theme for a coffee subscription.
